Springville Griffith Institute High School (290 N. Buffalo St., Springville) is holding a Jazz concert to help raise funds for the music department in the school district. The 1st Annual Help Marc Fight Leukemia Golf Tourney is happening June 2nd. Cost to register is $90 and deadline to participate and help Marc is May 25th. To register please call Terry at (905) 228-1608.

The local group Force United Niagara is hosting a fundraising event called ‘FUNexpo 2012” in support of ‘Help a Child Smile”. It’s on May 26th at the Welland Main Arena from 10am-5:30pm. Hooked On Fishing, Not On Drugs’ is a non-profit organization that provides an alternative to drugs through the sport of fishing. It also teaches environmental conservation and brings families closer together. They’ll be having a free fishing event for everyone on May 27th from 9am-4pm at Windmill Point Park.

May 30th is the 1st Fundraiser pasta night for ‘Welland SOO Rhythmic Gymnastics’. The Dinner will be held at Eastdale Secondary School in Welland. A pasta dinner is being held to raise money for a local teen, John Rush, who has made the team Canada football team. He’ll need to raise $3,500. The dinner is June 1st at the Lions Club on Portage Rd. in Niagara Falls. Tickets are $10 and available at the door.

 The 3rd Annual “Saffi Walk” Spirit Wheel Walk Run event supporting Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalous Association of Ontario is on June 2nd. To make a donation or join the fun please call (905) 894- 9502.

Burleigh Hill School Fun Fair on June 6th from 4pm – 7pm. There’ll be a BBQ, Inflatables, Face painting, games and prizes. Everyone is welcome! Proceeds to benefit maintenance of the school playgrounds.

CUPE 2977 Family, and friends are hosting an evening of Fundraising to help assist with therapy costs for two boys with Autism. The Fundraiser will take place June 8th at the CAW Hall, on Bunting Rd in St. Catharines from 7pm-1am.

Fort Erie Fire Station # 1 is celebrating 150 years of service on June 9th from 11am- 12 am. Stop by the Fire Station on Bertie St., in Fort Erie they’ll have bounce houses, displays, and entertainment and it’s all free.
